City Fitness: 10-Year Anniversary

Creating a logo to celebrate City Fitness Philadelphia’s 10-year anniversary and their ongoing legacy.

City Fitness operates Philadelphia’s cleanest, most well-maintained health clubs, providing excellent customer service in a motivating environment; using the most cutting-edge fitness technology and programming to help the community achieve their goals.

For their 10-year anniversary event, “A Night at City Fitness,” I worked together with the creative agency Palette Group to creative a commemorative logo that aligned with City Fitness' pre-existing visual identity.

Logo Iterations

We first experimented with the number “10,” aiming to create a number that had similar in-line characteristics to the original “CF” mark.

Final Logo

The “10” in the final version of the logo features a “1” with an overlapping serif and a “0” with overlapping segments at each vertex. Drop shadows were added to the overlapping segments to add depth to each character and make the overall logo more dynamic.
